Infestation
Large black weevils, they are accidental invaders, often found indoors in summer and fall; they can be in any room of the ho use and usually walk slowly on floor or climb the walls. They do not bite and will not survive indoors.
Identification
Black, some are shiny weevils; shape similar to a large ant (because of waist); they do not fly, and move slowly.
Control
They don't infest houses and there is no need for control; use a limited spray of pyrethroid or an aerosol indoor sif they are numerous.
