Infestation
Foraging ants may be inside in kitchens, food storage sites; trails of ants may extend over door thresholds to inside; usually active in the warm months.
Identification
Small, brown to dark brown (usually a uniform color), the antenna have the last two segments enlarged (2-segmented club).
Control
Baits should be used indoors; spray liquid pyrethroid on thresholds ouside, treat nests with liquid insecticide or use granular insecticide around the building perimeter.
