Infestation

Moth-like flies on walls in bathroom, kitchen, near drains in basement. Gray with wings held out like "stealth bomber"; usually remain still on wall for long periods. Larvae live and feed on the organic material that collects and clogs drains.

Identification

Small gray flies with moth-like wings; larvae may be seen in or around drains, they are dark gray with a dark head and tail.

Control

The drain must be cleaned and the organic material removed--this is the best method; using drain cleaner or insecticide probably will not get rid of them.
