InfestationFound indoors in houses and office buildings; they are not numerous, but 2-3 may occur in a house or apartment. They are predators on spiders and insects indoors. They are active at night; they don't bite people or pets. IdentificationThe very long legs and antennae are characteristic; the brown stripes, and their rapid movement identify house centipedes. ControlDifficult to control, liquid spray along baseboards, and sticky traps where they have been seen may help. |
