IdentificationSmall to large black or brown beetles, with large 'jaws' or mandibles at the front of head, shiny, long legs and able to move quickly. ControlThey live outdoors as predators of other insects; larvae and adults in turfgrass feeding on insects. No need for household spray; pyrethroid spray to perimeter of house may help; reduce lights at night, use yellow bulbs. |
