Infestation
In food cabinets, in packages of food; beetles may be in cabinets and on counter, or in infested food, such as flour, noodles, spices, dry pet food; beetles may be at lights and in other rooms of the house.
Identification
Small brown, with distinct head and antennae; fine hairs on back; can fly well, goes to lights and windows; larvae may be found in food or on counter tops.
Control
Remove and discard infested food, vacuum the site, spray pyrethrins and let dry before replacing food; use pheromone sticky traps to monitor and for control.
