InfestationThey are in small or large aggregations in moist, damp places: basements, crawl spaces, and in garages. They prefer dark sites and are active at night, they are not usually found inside house (too dry). They amake no chirping sounds. IdentificationThey are large, hump-backed appearance, and have long antennae and legs; they don't have wings and move by jumping. ControlUse a pyrethroid spray to treat the infected site, several applications may be needed; cockroach gel baits may be used; place small amounts in bottle caps where crickets are seen. |
