InfestationIn basements, sewer pipes and manholes; around outside in garbage and dumpsters; indoors in kitches and bathrooms, near food. They overwinter as adults and nymphs, but do not eat much in winter. IdentificationLarge, brown, with yellow markings on head, large wings and long antennae; nymphs are brown and without wings; egg cases placed on walls and in crevices. ControlUse pyrethroid spray on surfaces near and in infested harborages; use gel baits near the infested sites, use large quantity of gel and re-apply when eaten. Use baits in fall and early spring. |
