About Us:

Brown Exterminating Co., Inc was founded by C. B. Knox in 1972 and remains headquartered in Roanoke, VA . We are a privately held corporation with branches and licensed operations throughout Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Tennessee and Mississippi.

C. B. Knox grew up in Virginia and was educated at Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, VA and graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelors in Entomology and a Masters in Business Administration. C. B. remains at Brown as President and CEO of the company.

Our products and services include residential and commercial pest control, real estate inspections and certifications, vertebrates control and removal, and protection from wood destroying organisms like termites and fungus. Inspection, elimination, and preventative measures are used to protect homes and property.

We have several licensed businesses affiliates doing business as Brown Exterminating:

• LFH, owned by Mr. George Foley, incorporated in 1990 and is headquartered in central Virginia.
• PAR, owned by Mr. Pete Rosenkrans, incorporated in 1997 and is headquartered in Chesterfield, VA.
• LBR, owned by Barry and Lori Ratcliff, incorporated in 2000 and is headquartered in the New River Valley.
• MPS, owned by Mr. Paul Westby, incorporated in 2003 and is headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee.
• MKS Enterprises, owned by Mr. Kevin Schwab, incorporated in 2003 and is headquartered in Alexandria, VA.

Our Mission Statement:

We will develop a large company based on the old fashioned principles of an honest days work for an honest days pay, in such a way that the capitalist system will be truly served, by developing dedicated able employees from workers to the owners of the various components of the company.
